Internship Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in completing an internship with Bridgeway Community Health. For questions regarding internship opportunities, please contact our HR team at HR@bridgewaych.org.

Associate Level Internships (CADC/QMHA Track)
We accept students enrolled in addiction studies or related programs who are working toward certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA).
These internships provide hands-on experience in behavioral health settings and may include direct client interaction, group support, and exposure to treatment services across levels of care.
Undergraduate Internships (Bachelor’s Programs)
We accept students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs in behavioral health related fields, including Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), psychology, human services, and related areas.
Interns gain exposure to behavioral health services through program support, client engagement, and experience across a variety of treatment settings. Interns work within their scope of practice under supervision and in accordance with program and educational requirements.
Graduate Internships (Master’s Programs)
We accept graduate level students currently enrolled in master’s programs in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related behavioral health fields.
These internships provide clinical experience working with individuals in recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. Interns develop skills in client engagement, group and individual services, documentation, treatment planning, care coordination, and case management.

Graduate interns participate in a formal educational agreement with their academic program and receive ongoing supervision. All services are provided within the intern’s scope of practice and in alignment with program policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Graduate internships support students working toward professional licensure in Oregon, including Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Placements may be available across outpatient, residential, and withdrawal management services.
Additional Information
Placements may be available across outpatient, residential, and medical managed withdrawal services.
Due to the nature of our work and the populations we serve, internship placements are limited and may not always be available.
All interns must successfully pass a background check through the Oregon Health Authority Background Check Unit (BCU), complete required onboarding and training, and meet any school specific requirements for placement.
