This curriculum is designed for individuals who are currently at a medium to high risk for or have a history of risky behavior including drug abuse and criminal activity related to their substance abuse. This cognitive-behavioral based approach group teaches skills and strategies to avoid substance abuse while you will learn key skills and insights to develop coping skills, gain a greater understanding of emotional and social support and challenge unhealthy thinking.

This 6 session curriculum (delivered 2X per week for 3 weeks) examines the process of change while helping clients develop internal motivation to make positive changes in their lives. Clients review their values and how their use has impacted their relationships and other major life domains; goal setting, problem solving, confidence and temptation. This group is geared towards clients who are pre-contemplative or early contemplation Stage of Change.

This curriculum is designed for individuals who are currently at a medium to a very high risk for continued problems, including drug abuse and criminal behavior. This group will use a cognitive behavioral approach to teach strategies for identifying and managing risks, needs and responsivity factors, with a heavy emphasis on skill building and behavior change.

Change Companies is the evidenced based material utilized in this group series. Participants in this group are exposed to a cognitive behavioral approach for challenging any beliefs that do not support change or the change process. An example of some of the group topics include improving self-control, effective communication, creating healthy relationships and challenging irrational beliefs that have led to substance abuse and criminal behavior.

This evidenced-based curriculum group is for individuals who identify as women/female who have experienced trauma and substance abuse. This group is a safe place for survivors to increase their ability to care for themselves as they begin/continue their recovery journey. The aim of the group is to help members increase healthy coping skills, identify and use safe support, and to change their understanding of themselves as trauma survivors as well as the role that substance abuse plays in this experience. Seeking Safety is a step towards recovering from the impacts of trauma and substance abuse. It empowers you to make immediate changes that can positively impact well-being in the present moment. Clients do not share details of their traumatic experiences in group to avoid triggering and re-traumatizing others. Members are encouraged to share those details as they are ready to in the safety of their individual counseling sessions.

Join Women’s Seeking SafetyCo-Ed Family Group
This group is designed to not only help the addicted individual learn about his or her disease; it allows the individual’s family/support persons the opportunity to sit in, participate and learn how to best support the person as they do the work needed to be in a healthy relationship. This group is a great place to work towards repairing, building and/or strengthening relationships, a place for supporting others and for healing. The evidenced based material utilized in this group is Matrix, Family curriculum.

Join Co-Ed Family GroupMoving Forward
This is a 12-week Aftercare group for men/women who have completed a 6-month intensive treatment program in the Oregon Department of Prison, or, have a history of incarceration who may benefit from structured work focused on rejoining your community. Topics include reentry goals, goal setting, positive decision making, peer relationships, improving family ties, staying on the path of recovery, continuing your education, employment, managing finances and health all while outside of a controlled environment.

This is a 12-week curriculum group. The focus is on developing skills related to mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance. This treatment modality was created to help clients develop necessary skills that trauma has stunted the development of. Clients will learn skills to assist in their ability to be centered, flexible, and more accepting to change.
